We are proud to recognize Alexis Gurrola. as our December Employee of the Month!

Alexis Gurrola is our Caregiver of the Month, and her story is a powerful reminder of why compassionate care matters so much.

Alexis is a first-generation Mexican American and was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida. She is also the proud mom of two beautiful children. Family has always been at the center of her life, and that same sense of care and responsibility shows up in the way she supports her clients every day.

Her journey into caregiving began after experiencing a life-changing event. Alexis was involved in a fire, and during her recovery, the CNA assigned to her made a lasting impression. That caregiver made Alexis feel comfortable and truly cared for during a difficult time. The experience stayed with her and played a big role in her decision to become a Home Health Aide.

I wanted to be that person she was to me,” Alexis shared, “and help others and I am truly thankful for First In Care allowing me to do that.

Today, Alexis brings that same compassion and understanding into her work. We are grateful for Alexis, her dedication, and the heart she brings to her work. She is a wonderful example of the kind of care and connection we value at First In Care.
