Director of Nursing

Job Brief:

The Director of Nursing will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies.  Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of our agency and patients/clients alike.

Responsibilities:

• Director, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel (RN, LPN, CNA, HHA)
• Guide staffing procedures with new-client intake
• Organize and coordinate admissions, nursing, and patient home health care procedures
• Oversee all patient/client medication charts under our medication management
• Keep patient/client files updated and organized in preparation of audits
• Keep staff files updated and organized in preparation of audits
• Keep nursing protocols/procedures current in company master policy & procedures
• Instruct CPR certification course and CNA courses
• Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
• Manage record-keeping procedures

Requirements:

• Knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
• Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
• Great communication and people skills
• Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
• Aptitude in problem-solving
• Minimum of a college degree in Registered Nursing Science
• Valid nursing license and CPR certification
